The End is nigh... of Sydney

Ok so to finish off Sydney, thought I'd better wrap things up and cover the last...2 or 3 months.
Where did I leave off... ah yeh Mardi Gras. After planning and planning Mardi Gras, i.e. the
feather boas, the eye liner, the alcohol, the after show tickets...etc etc.
Anyway, we got all ready in our outfits and boas and had some alcohol etc and got to our positions early as planned.

For some reason, I thought i'd had enough to eat... clearly not. woops. I was drinking Goon (box wine) and i thought obviously it's going to be like most others and be really weak... turns out it wasn't. My memory is kinda hazey but I last remember shouting "OI PIG" at a guy dressed in a big fluffy pig outfit. And some lesbians on Bikes. Apparently at the point I needed the toilet and decided rather than wait, I would go home... think I knew I was too drunk and needed bed haha. I got home and slept for a bit and then had to... hug the toilet... as you do. I then heard Sarah and Anna come in to my room yelling for me to get myself together for the after party. Wasn't really feelin up to it, but they knew I'd regret not going. So I got dressed again... different outfit... and got up to go to the after party.

After about 20 minutes I was glad I'd agreed to come, as I'd sobered up alot and had a really good time. Slightly miffed that I missed Tina Arena, who was apparently on for a few songs as a surprise guest... but watching the youtube video... she wasnt THAT great. - obviously tired out by the baby haha.

Me, Anna, Sarah & Tanako danced into the wee wee hours in huge domes full of lazer lights, smoke and sweaty dancing people, covered in glitter and glowsticks. Pretty cool.

Other than that, for the next few months, all I've really been doing is working as many days as I can stand (usually 6 a week) and going out with friends, mostly from work. Not that we meant to go out... but people keep leaving and having Birthdays etc etc here's a few choice photos. Take a look at the TOGA theme for Anna's birthday! :)

We also visited Palm Beach - otherwise known as Summer Bay - Home & Away's beach.

Have managed to have a go on the Monorail as well, bought some nice new shoes (probably too pricey), pierced my tregas (google it) and will shortly be bleaching my hair... just for a laugh... in time for traveling the country! :)

On Monday 1st June (my Birthday) Me, Sarah & Anna will be flying on Qantas to Perth! I'm going to book a hotel room, or somewhere slightly nice... ish.... with birthday money. From there.... who knows but I'm really liking the idea of a driving tour from Perth to
Broome.
