BLUE MOUNTAINS

the first week in January we were very keen to get new people in to our apartment, as we'd grown quite bored of Sydney and wanted out ASAP!

Whilst we were showing lots and lots and lots of people round, we decided to do the one thing we hadnt done in Sydney... well the main thing and travelled to the Blue Mountains... which is a 2 hour train journey.
Most people go with a coach tour, which is around $100 and u have to book in advance, so you have no idea of the weather. The day we'd decided to go, the weather was glorious sunshine... almost a little TOO hot! lol

We took the long jungle style walk which was about 2 miles on a decidedly unkempt path through what was basically a jungle! I'm betting you're shocked to hear that I was ok with getting this close to Aussie nature! - But no snakes or spider at all, just a few funny little lizards and geckos, scurrying across infront of us.

We eventually got to see the 3 sisters and do the various cable cars across the cavernous expanse of green below.

We then went on the train. It's world famous as it's the steepest train the world and apparently if it was 1 degree steeper, people would fall out.

It was VERY steep and very scary but definitely worth a go! ;) during one of the cable cars I got a migraine... great.
